Once the deal is signed, the licensor should provide the licensee with the proper tools to develop a licensed product line that meets the expectations of the licensor. Typically, once an agreement is signed, the licensee will be asked to attend an orientation to be educated further about the licensor corporate strategy, the brand(s) being licensed, reports expected from the licensee, the approval process for product and packaging, quality standards and so on. This is to ensure that the licensee is meeting the expectations of the licensor. The licensee should also be given relevant documents, such as a brand manual for each brand for which they have rights to use, test protocols for each product category, etc. This module will cover what to expect immediately after the agreement has been signed.
